ESG Competence Center
Deepened cooperation in the field of sustainable infrastructure
The next project in the Necron Group's development pipeline is the Ridderkerk II logistics center in southeast Rotterdam. It is being built in accordance with the guidelines of the "BREEAM Excellent" sustainability certificate and is already fully leased or sold. The center, which is ideally located in terms of transport, has an area of 57,000 m2 and is used for the distribution of fruit and vegetables. Visualization Necron.
The Picard Angst ESG Competence Center is deepening its cooperation in the field of sustainable infrastructure projects with the Necron Group. The Swiss real estate developer has an excellent track record with the realization of sustainable logistics and healthcare projects in the Netherlands. Since 2019, the projects have been financed through eight bonds, five of which have already been repaid on time. Now the Picard Angst ESG Competence Center is expanding the bond program for sustainable infrastructure with another bond.
The demand for sustainable infrastructure in the logistics and health care sector is high and continues to grow. On the one hand, the construction of new logistics centers is booming since the Corona pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the lack of just-in-time production. On the other hand, the rapidly increasing elderly population is creating a surge in demand for age-appropriate healthcare, care and housing.
While in the market tenants and buyers are driving the demand for sustainable real estate more and more investors are looking for sustainable and profitable investment opportunities. Swiss real estate developer Necron strives for all its projects to combine economic attractiveness, high-quality architecture and compliance with the highest sustainability standards.
BREEAM Sustainability Certificate
Necron realizes all development projects with the "BREEAM Excellent" certificate. BREEAM is the Building Establishment Environmental Assessment Method. Developed in the UK in 1990, it has become the most widely used certification system for sustainable construction in the world. The seal of approval is available in six grades, with "Excellent" being the second-highest award. The assessment takes into account the environmental impact from planning to execution to use over the entire life cycle.
The cooperation of the Picard Angst ESG Competence Center with Necron offers investors the opportunity to participate in the development of sustainable infrastructure projects in accordance with the "BREEAM Excellent" standard via very safe and attractive interest-bearing bonds. At the beginning of January, we will launch the ninth bond in this extremely successful series.
